Restaurants & QSR

Your busiest hour shouldn't be your most anonymous.

The line moves, the tickets print, and not one of those customers leaves a name behind. Perkaria puts a stamp card behind your register that a new hire can run in two taps — no app for customers to download, no integration with your POS, and no commission on the meals they come back for.

Sound familiar?

Why the loyalty program never sticks in a restaurant

You're paying up to 30 % to rent your own customers

Delivery marketplaces take a commission that can reach 30 % of the ticket, and they keep the relationship: you get an order, not a name. Change your hours, add a special, fix a bad week — you can't tell those customers any of it, because they were never yours to tell. The visit that walks through your door is the one with margin still on it.

At 12:15, anything that adds ten seconds gets skipped

A line to the door is not the moment to ask for an email address, walk someone through a download, or hunt for a paper card in a binder. Staff will quietly stop offering the program by the second week — and they'll be right to. If it doesn't fit between “that's $14.50” and the next customer, it doesn't exist.

The person you trained in January doesn't work here in April

Restaurant turnover means your program gets re-taught every few months, usually by whoever happens to be on shift. Anything needing a walkthrough, a password sheet taped by the till, or a manager to undo mistakes drifts out of use — and a program nobody runs is worse than no program, because the customer still expects their stamp.

How Perkaria fits

How Perkaria fits a restaurant counter

Stamps for the lunch crowd, points for the big tickets

Run a visit-based stamp card for the weekday regulars — one stamp a visit, reward at ten — or points per dollar for catering and family orders, or both at once. Caps, bonus events and birthday bonuses are yours to set. Every stamp lands as pending and is confirmed overnight against your sales export, so a mis-tap in the middle of the rush never turns into a free meal.

Loyalty

Two taps at the register, and the new hire runs it on day one

The counter app is a tablet with buttons big enough for wet hands: find the customer by phone number or scan their QR, one tap to record the visit, one tap to redeem. Each staff member signs in with their own PIN, and there's nothing on that screen they can break — the dashboard, the settings and the ledger sit behind a separate owner login.

How it works

Your regulars, in numbers, without touching the POS

No API, no integration project, no hardware from us. Once a day the sales export your POS already produces gets reconciled against the visits your staff recorded, and Monday morning a digest lands in your inbox: visits per member, your top customers, the regulars who quietly stopped coming, and what you still owe on outstanding gift cards. Rockaberry Jean-Talon runs exactly this way today — their POS has no API at all.

Insights
Suggested setup

A starting recipe for a lunch counter

Visit-based stamps: one stamp per visit, one visit per business day, reward at ten — “your 11th lunch is on us.” The daily cap stops anyone stretching one lunch into three coffees, and a double-stamp bonus event on your two slowest weekdays pulls traffic into the hours you're already paying staff for.

A suggestion, not a default. Stamp count, the daily cap, bonus events and birthday bonuses are all yours to set in the dashboard, and you can change them without reissuing a single card. Stamps stay pending until the night's sales export reconciles them.

A suggestion to start the conversation — not a fixed package and not a prediction. We configure the real numbers with you on the demo call.

Questions

Questions we get asked

Do my customers have to download an app?

No. Your staff enrols them at the counter in a few seconds — first name and mobile number — and Perkaria texts them a link that opens their card right in the phone browser: stamp progress, points, and a QR code to show at the register. Nothing to install, nothing for you to maintain in two app stores, and it behaves the same on iPhone and Android. The card is in French or English, whichever they prefer.

Does this connect to my POS?

It doesn't need to. Perkaria runs beside your register, not inside it — staff use a tablet with the counter app, so there's no integration project and no new hardware from us. Once a day you drop in the sales export your POS already produces, and Perkaria reconciles that day's stamps and points against it. Any POS that can export sales works; the one at Rockaberry Jean-Talon has no API whatsoever.

We sell a lot of gift cards over the holidays. What happens to the unused balances?

They stay on the card, permanently. Québec's Consumer Protection Act forbids a gift card from expiring or carrying a dormancy fee, and Perkaria enforces that in code — there's no expiry setting to switch on by accident. Your dashboard tracks the outstanding balance as a running liability so you're never surprised in January, and customers can check their own balance on a public page instead of asking your staff mid-rush.
