Loyalty program

Stamps, points and tiers — under your brand, not ours.

Perkaria runs the loyalty mechanics a counter actually needs: a digital stamp card, points per dollar, and tiers for your regulars. Your staff enrol members at the register in seconds, and every reward is checked against your own sales before it counts.

Product illustration, not a screenshot — sample data, a made-up shop name, and the same mechanics running today at Rockaberry Jean-Talon.

The member wallet card: stamps, points and tier in one place. Points earned today sit as pending until the nightly reconciliation verifies them against your sales export.

Stamp cards

The punch card, minus the punch card

Pick the goal — buy 9 get the 10th, or 6 visits for a free coffee — and the card lives on your customer's phone instead of the bottom of their wallet. Your staff add a stamp from the counter tablet in two taps, mid-rush, without asking anyone to download anything.

  • Set your own goal: any number of stamps, any reward, changed whenever you want
  • Staff enrol the customer at the counter; the member gets a texted magic link that opens their card — no app store, no password
  • Stamps land on the wallet card in French or English, whichever the customer picks
  • One counter action, one stamp — a double tap on a busy Saturday can't punch twice

Points

Points per dollar, with the dials you actually need

Award points on spend and set the rules yourself. The defaults are sensible, and every one of them is yours to change — no support ticket, no per-change fee, no waiting for a release.

  • A points-per-dollar rate you set, and can change any time
  • Daily earn caps per member, so one afternoon can't inflate a balance
  • Bonus events and double-points days you schedule — put them on your slow afternoons, not ours
  • An automatic birthday bonus, sent within your program's rules
  • Run points beside a stamp card or on their own — the mechanics are configuration, not a rebuild

Tiers & VIP

Give your regulars a reason to stay regulars

Tiers turn "I come here all the time" into something the customer can see. Set the thresholds, name the levels in your own voice, and the wallet card shows each member exactly what stands between them and the next one.

  • You name the levels and set the thresholds
  • Members see their tier and their progress on the same card as their stamps
  • Your top customers are listed by name in the owner dashboard — tiers stop being an abstraction
  • The weekly digest lands in your inbox, so you notice a regular slipping before they're gone

Fraud resistance

A program that can't be quietly drained

Loyalty leaks when anyone behind the counter can hand out free stuff and nobody checks. Here, every action is signed in with a PIN, capped per day, safe to retry, and confronted with your real sales overnight before it becomes a reward.

  • PIN-gated staff app: every earn, stamp and redemption is attributed to the person who did it
  • Daily earn caps per member close the obvious point-farming hole
  • Duplicate protection: each counter action carries its own idempotency key, so a double tap or a retried request never pays out twice
  • Nightly verification is the shield — every earn and redeem starts pending and only counts once it matches your POS sales export. Balances show verified activity; pending is displayed separately, never hidden
  • No POS API required: any till that exports a daily sales file works, which is exactly why this survives a POS that has no integrations at all

Questions

Before you pick a mechanic

Can we start with stamps and switch to points later?

Yes. Start with a stamp card — it's the fastest thing to explain to a customer at a busy counter — and turn points on when you're ready. It's a settings change, not a migration, and your members keep the card they already have. Nothing is wiped: loyalty points never expire in Québec, and we don't design around that.

Can we run stamps and points at the same time?

Yes, and plenty of counters should. The stamp card rewards the habit (buy 9, get the 10th), while points reward the size of the order, so the big Saturday cake counts for more than an espresso. Both live on the same wallet card, and both follow the same caps and the same nightly verification.

A customer loses their phone. Do they lose their points?

No. The card isn't stored on the phone — it lives in your account, tied to the customer's number. Your staff look them up at the counter and send a fresh magic link by text; the same stamps, points and tier open on the new device. Nothing to reinstall, no password to reset.
